Imagine your young person going through life with ease and grace…

And totally having a clear understanding of who they are…

Imagine giving them that gift…. That is the gift that I want to give to my grandchildren and the next generation of young people.

This is the perfect journal to use to guide your child through discovering and understanding how each of their experiences (positive and negative), emotions, thoughts and actions are all linked. The journal is filled with engaging images and text and have a really consistent layout throughout. These things will help keep your child engaged in the discovery. In addition to that, the whole journal requires input and interaction from your child and provides lots of prompts to support the journaling process. There is a great mixture of writing and drawing activities to keep it fun and engaging. Parents can scribe for younger children or children can write/draw the journal entries themselves. The teachable points throughout the book are sharp and focussed to allow more time and opportunities for your child to interact with you and the journal. The author is a highly respected educator with an extensive knowledge and experience working with children to develop their resilience and wellbeing. Each and every one of 102 pages and over 60 activities will help you and your child build knowledge and identify strategies for their: energy, brain, breathing, emotions, thinking and experiences. My favourite part of the journal is how the author uses a mathematical equation to help us understand how our thoughts, emotions and experiences are connected. The pre and post quiz will show you just how much your child has discovered about themselves. This is a fabulous addition to every wellbeing toolkit and bookshelf.
